Description: Beleric, also known as Beherra or Baheda, is a large deciduous tree found in South and Southeast Asia. The tree is highly valued in traditional medicine and is one of the three fruits that make up the renowned Ayurvedic formulation, Triphala.

Appearance:

• Height: The Beleric tree can grow up to 20-30 meters in height.
• Trunk: It has a straight trunk with a thick, brownish-gray bark that often peels off in irregular flakes.
• Leaves: The leaves are broadly elliptical, clustered at the ends of branches, and have a smooth, glossy texture.
• Flowers: Small, yellowish-white flowers bloom in axillary spikes, usually appearing from April to May.
• Fruits: The fruit is a drupe, about 2-4 cm in diameter, grayish in color, and covered with a hard, velvety shell. The fruits ripen from October to January.

Habitat: Beleric trees are typically found in tropical and subtropical regions, growing well in a variety of soil types, including sandy, loamy, and clay soils. They thrive in areas with good drainage and plenty of sunlight.
